Job Description

Job Description: FDG Inc. is seeking an entry-level structural engineer to design precast/prestressed concrete components and their connections for multiple clients using computer design and graphics software for building structural design (ACAD, Revit, Navisworks and Risa) This position provides the opportunities to obtain knowledge and gain experience in new building structural design.

• Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year engineering program (meets NCEE standards for licensing).
• Has passed FE Examination.
• 0-4 experience.
• Exhibits sound structural engineering judgment through education, work experience, or portfolio.
• Exhibits ability to independently generate thorough and accurate engineering calculations.
• Knowledge of ACAD/Revit modeling software, RISA, and Bluebeam, 
• Knowledge of Microsoft OS, including teams. 
• Possess average level modeling/drafting skills in ACAD.
• Great communication skills.

Responsibilities :

• Perform assigned engineering tasks on projects.
• Develop design calculations for precast/prestressed concrete components and their connections.
• Analyze load transfer through each component.
• Pursue and coordinate required engineering information with project team, as necessary. 
• Communicate change in schedule or scope of work with Project Engineer and/or PM.
• Stay current with engineering, and client standards. 
• Perform drafting and checking responsibilities as required.
