Osborn is a fully integrated multi-disciplined design firm that uses a specialized team approach to engineering projects. Osborn has specialists in architectural lighting design, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and life safety, technology engineering, transportation, and commissioning. Position Responsibilities:

• Design and plan lighting and electrical systems in collaboration with a variety of professionals, including interior designers, engineers, and architects. Lighting design can be for residential, commercial, health care, recreation, historical, or industrial spaces. 50%
  • Using AGI32, Visual, Adobe Photoshop/InDesign and Revit/AutoCAD
• Design a lighting plan for the site according to customer specifications. 15%
• During the design process, liaise between the client and engineering departments, balancing client desires and aesthetics with practical concerns. 15%
• Manage lighting design within project budget constraints. 20%

Job Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Lighting Engineering, or a closely related field (or its equivalent). In lieu of degree, consideration will be given to candidates that have extensive experience in the field.
• NCQLP Certification or requirement to achieve certification.
• Proficiency in Adobe suite, AutoCAD, Revit, AGI32, or other 3D lighting calculation software is required.
• Technical expertise in design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, details, blueprints, drawings and models is required.
• Technical knowledge of various lighting control systems.
