DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a high caliber, experienced, and motivated Manager of Program Management to lead a team of Risk Managers and Program Managers focused on preserving shopper and merchant trust while protecting Amazon from financial harm.
Your team will be supporting risk mitigation across multiple services with strategic significance and high exposure, including Buy with Prime, Multi-Channel Fulfillment, and Reviews from Amazon. In this role you will be responsible for hiring, developing, and managing the capacity of your team. You will define, implement, and iterate on processes that scale, and you will drive effective communication with key stakeholders, including senior leadership. You will establish and refine metrics and mechanisms to monitor and manage the performance of your team, and benchmark against comparable teams at Amazon to adopt their best practices.
The ideal candidate possesses a natural curiosity and ability to navigate through complexity and ambiguity, is a strong leader with a track record of excellent judgment and stakeholder communication, and operates at all levels by being hands-on and staying close to the details.

Key job responsibilities
- Hire and develop a high-performing team of Risk Managers and Program Managers focused on preserving shopper and merchant trust while protecting Amazon from financial harm
- Establish and monitor metrics to drive performance within the team
- Forecast future workload and hire accordingly to balance capacity and utilization
- Drive development and continuous iteration of investigation Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and communication blurbs
- Work closely with comparable teams across Amazon to benchmark and identify collaboration opportunities to drive both efficiency and better experiences for merchants and shoppers
- Work with Product and Engineering to both support new mitigation solution launches and identify and prioritize team tooling needs
- Present regularly to Sr Leadership (Directors, VPs) through team quarterly business reviews and other forums
- Proactively identify new and emerging risks, and help to drive overall mitigation strategy
- Continuously inspect all processes the team manages to assess and optimize return on investment
About the team
Buy with Prime Trust Team’s charter is to preserve shopper and merchant trust while also protecting Amazon from financial harm by mitigating against bad actors and poor performers. We do this by (1) ensuring our policies provide sufficient guardrails to enforce our trust bar, (2) building technical solutions that prevent, detect, and/or allow us to mitigate violations of our policies, (3) investigating potential violations and intervening where necessary, and (4) continuously improving the experience of the enforced party by supporting escalations and driving preventive and corrective actions, whether it is us or another team at Amazon doing the enforcement.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of team management experience
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree
