The formalities…Skills:

• PHP Experience
• Experience in 2 or more of the following: Laravel, WordPress, Magento, Zend Framework, Symfony, CodeIgnitor
• Source Control (Git)
• MySQL
• and Rest based API’s
• Front End Web Development
• Basic to advanced competency with HTML5, CSS3, and JS
• A knack for communicating with clients via phone and email to ensure their root problem or concern is identified and resolved.
• Knows way around a Linux server

Qualities:

• Thirst for knowledge (ie. you wake up on Saturday morning and all you can think about is playing with the latest technology.
• Follows blogs / trends in web development (ie. you’re more interested in checking your daily reader than cable news gossip)
• Good written and verbal communicator (you can turn a white board into a work of art)
• 4 year Bachelor Degree (preferred, but not required)
• Professional or Project experience (you’ve shipped product)

Other notes:

• Business is headquartered in NJ, USA
• Typical hours: 9:00am to 6:00pm, Monday – Friday EST. Flex hours available between 6am – 7pm EST with candidates outside of EST. Meaning you can choose your own 9 hour (8 hour + 1 hr break shift) schedule.
• Hire can live anywhere in the world but must adhere to working 8 hours in the above 6am – 7pm EST working hours.

Training

• Internal Company Knowledge Base and Tutorials.
• Create written documentation for any process that you need to hand off to others
• Access to paid portal of self-learning video tutorials and online training

Reporting

• Use email, slack and teamwork.com for project messages, to-dos, files and milestones
• Use Sirportly (Similar to Zendesk) Ticket System for support inquiries
• Weekly status meeting, bi -weekly scrum meetings mandatory to attend (12pm EST on Mondays and 9:30am Tuesday / Thursdays)
