Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:
  • Performs requirements collection, analysis, and refinement.
  • Designs and plans multi-layered communications networks and associated cybersecurity solutions.
  • Provides input to specifications and detailed network architecture artifacts.
  • Provide guidance on what details of a system are externally discoverable to ensure the proper cyber posture is maintained.
  • Provides specific, detailed technical recommendations for the most efficient solution to meet operational requirements.
  • Develops integration strategies for proposed solutions.
  • Researches, evaluates, and reports on new/emerging network/cybersecurity technologies to enhance performance, security, and reliability of the network.
  • Provides input to the program Technology Roadmap.
  • Provides independent verification and validation of vendor-recommended solutions.

Qualifications:
  • Security Clearance: active TS/SCI
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or other related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience working with complex communications networks. Candidates without a college degree will be considered but must show substantial experience and knowledge in lieu of a degree.
  • Operational experience and/or knowledge of Special Operations Forces (SOF).
  • Knowledge of complex, cybersecurity technologies and solutions.
  • Understanding of and experience with the DoD Architecture Framework and other key DoD network architecture and strategic planning instructions.
  • Must demonstrate an understanding of the following technologies and protocols and have experience in their use: VLANs, 802.1Q, TCP/IP, Routing (BGP, OSPF), Firewalling, Wireless Networking, DNS, DHCP, Windows Networking, Windows, Linux, Browser Fingerprints.

The likely salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
