Job Description

A prestigious New Haven law firm is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Attorney to join their collegial practice. Qualified applicants will have a minimum of 5 years of estate planning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

* Draft and review wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
* Manage estate administration matters, including probate proceedings in Connecticut courts.
* Provide expert guidance on the rules governing the income taxation of trusts and estates.
* Prepare and file gift and estate tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
* Interact directly with clients, offering thoughtful and strategic counsel.
* Handle all assigned matters independently, from start to finish.

Qualifications:

* A minimum of five (5) years of experience in trusts and estates practice.
* In-depth knowledge of Connecticut probate laws and court procedures.
* Strong understanding of income tax rules related to trusts and estates, as well as gift and estate tax reporting.
* Exceptional academic credentials.
* Ability to work autonomously and efficiently while managing multiple client matters.
